Corel Trouble

So, when I purchased a Wacom Tablet last month, it came with a trial for Corel Painter.  I decided to take advantage of it!

It's fun, but I've noticed that 12 hasn't exactly improved upon what 9 had going the last time I used it--it's still notoriously bad for crashing.  Sorry Corel.  You just bog down too easily!

Sketchy things

So what do we have today?  Just some random practice stuff.  It's important to remember that for every good illustration done, there are hours of boring practice junk behind it.

Well, it's not all boring.  Like random monster silhouettes are fun. ;3

Been A While...

It's that time again!  Time to update this blog with some new art.  It's been a little crazy, between life and work and all that good jazz there.  Today I have some fairytale-ish type of images--a reinterpretation of Rapunzel, and a little homunculus character riding a beetle.

This Is Halloween

...okay, not really, it's April.  But when I did these images it was Halloween.  There's nothing more inspiring than a holiday to get you drawing (well, there is, but not in the context of this post), and no holiday is cooler than Halloween.  I was wanting to strengthen my portfolio with some environments, and I also wanted to do some witches, as well as test out some new brushes.  So, here they are!
